Unique Wedding Venues – Wet Wild & Wacky

Want to get married at a unique wedding venue as unique as the two of you? Forget the same-ol & # 39; ol – & # 39; ol venue and go for something wet, wild or crazy.

Wet

You have many choices when it comes to weddings with water. You can have a submarine wedding in Hawaii, a snorkel wedding in the Caribbean or a wedding on a tall ship in Chicago. Or you can push the envelope just a little further and go for something truly unique – a wedding in the world's only underwater hotel.

Jules & # 39; Undersea Lodge in Key Largo, Florida is truly underwater, with guests having to dive 21 feet below sea level and enter through an opening at the bottom of the cabin. Wedding ceremonies are held inside the lodge, which consists of an entrance area with wet room, two bedrooms and a common room which is a combination of kitchen, dining and living area. Imagine having your honeymoon under the water, snuggled up in your bed as you watch the fish pass by your window.

Your wedding ceremony is led by a notary who dives down to the service, followed by a bowl and cutting of the cake, which, yes, has been dry. For dinner, you are offered a caviar appetizer and choice of two main courses, either lobster or steak and a heart of palm salad and dessert. Your meal is prepared by a chef who dives to the lodge. The chef will also dive to the lodge the following morning and prepare breakfast. Jules & # 39; Undersea Lodge Wedding is perfect for those who want to trek to an unusual place.

The cost of Jules & # 39; Undersea Lodge is $ 1,495 plus tax. If you have extra guests attending the wedding, you will be charged an additional $ 60 per night. Guest. Call (305) 451-2353 for more information.

Wild

What could be more crazy than a shotgun or a wedding at a haunted hotel?

With a wedding and honeymoon in Oatman, Arizona, you get both. Where's Oatman, you ask? It is a historic ghost town 20 miles southeast of Laughlin, Nevada, formerly a thriving mining town during the gold rush. Oatman today is a tourist town with daily wild western shootouts and shotgun weddings. Oatman is also where you will find the Oatman Hotel, where Clark Gable and Carole Lombard spent their wedding night in 1939.

It is said that the Oatman Hotel is haunted by several spirits, including, some say, Clark Gable and Carole Lombard, a former chambermaid and an Irish miner who once lived there. It is said that staff and guests at the hotel heard the spirits of Gable and Lombard laughing from their honeymoon. There are also reports of the sound of pipe bags coming from the room to the Irish miner, whose spirit is referred to as "Oatie"

For information on shotgun weddings, please call 928-768-8063 or 928-768-3839. For reservations at The Oatman Hotel, please call 928-768-4408.

Another wedding venue that many consider haunted is Thayer & # 39; s Historic Bed and Breakfast in Annandale, Minnesota, owned by a psychiatrist, Sharon Gammell. Thayer's specializes in interactive mystery dinners, ghost hunting, psychic readings and small weddings, which, if you choose, can be awarded by Gammell. Built in 1895, Thayer's Historic Bed and Breakfast is said to be home to several ghosts, including the original owners, Caroline and Gus Thayer and some of their friends. And for you cat lovers, Thayer's is also home to three resident ghost cats (as well as some live cats).

Annandale is just over an hour's drive from the Twin Cities International Airport. For more information call 800-944-6595.

crazy

For one of the craziest wedding experiences, try the Star Trek Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton, where you can have your ceremony at the Bridge of the USS Enterprise 1701-D. You minister will perform your wedding ceremony dressed in Starfleet outfits while intergalactic wedding music plays in the background. Depending on which wedding package you choose, you can choose between one and three Star Trek characters present in your wedding: Klingon, Ferengi or BORG.

You can also choose to have your wedding in the Quarks Bar or Captain's Lounge, depending on the size of your wedding party. You can choose from a variety of reception menus, but I would definitely go for Romulan Warbird, which is a marinated chicken breast served with wild rice pilaf and seasonal vegetables. Wedding cakes come with the Star Trek logo on them.

Hopefully some of the wedding ideas above will either appeal to you or get you thinking about other creative and unique ways to celebrate your wedding. Maybe wet, wild and crazy weddings are not your thing. Maybe what you want to do is move to Hawaii or Las Vegas. Whatever you decide on, make it special.

Travel guide to San Francisco

San Francisco is bounded by the Pacific and the Gulf of San Francisco. The city is a perfect holiday. There are many famous landmarks and sights to see such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Transamerica Pyramid, Coit Tower and Chinatown. There are a wealth of options for accommodation, from the most economical to the most luxurious.

If you love tapas (beef) and burritos, Mission District hosts some of the finest places to offer these delicacies. Taqueria Cancun and Farolito are must-try restaurants.

San Francisco houses the Golden State Warriors from the NBA, the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL and the San Francisco Giants from the MLB. Catch the Giants play baseball in the summer.

Here is an overview of the more famous destinations in San Francisco.

Trans Pyramid
The Transamerica Pyramid was conceptualized in 1968 when President John R. Beckett observed that natural light passed through the trees of the city and out into the streets. Then he decided to build a pyramid-shaped building to produce the same lighting results at his headquarters. Several years later, the Transamerica Pyramid is now a widely recognized landmark worldwide. The unique structure claimed international recognition. This park is in the center of Montgomery Financial District, with address 600 Montgomery Street, San Francisco, California. It is part of the Transamerica Center and covers almost a city block.

Coit Tower
Lillie Hitchcock Coit was a lady with eccentric personality supporting the local firefighters. In 1933, she used her funds to build the Coit Tower. She left a third of her wealth to beautify the city after her death.

Arthur Brown Jr. then took on the task of renovating the magnificent 63-meter-high city tower. He filled the interior of the cylindrical tower with murals. Most of these murals depict life in California during the Great Depression. A total of 25 painters worked on this project, including a scene from the harbor, a bank robbery and a peek into a department store. These historic murals are preserved for great lengths. At the top of the tower is a platform with spectacular 360-degree views of San Francisco.

Chinatown
Some people would argue that New York's Chinatown is the largest, but a majority still believe that Chinatown San Francisco is the largest outside Asia.

Get a feel for Hong Kong in this city. Residential areas and markets are clearly Chinese. Most restaurants are cheap. Check out the herbal medicine stores, souvenir shops and historic sites. Parking in Chinatown can be a problem. Most tourists take public tours instead.

Starscapes Review – legitimate business opportunity?

Making money with a simple, proven business is attractive to many of us.

Constellations create an illusion of the night sky indoors when the lights go out, and then return to normal with the lights on. The market is home to a home theater or bedroom as well as commercially to hotels and meeting rooms.

Founded by Joe Petrashek in 1991 in Reno, Nevada, Starscapes International has been a division of Voyager Industries in Arizona since 1994.

To make money in your own business as a Starscapes owner / applicator, you need to express creativity and art as an "artist-illusionist" and learn how to develop ceiling paintings with a three-dimensional look to accurately depict the night sky.

There is a learning curve involved in hand painting very small details of Stars in ceilings. Some have been more satisfied than others with the quality of training and material. Popcorn ceilings and deluxe themes involve additional hassle and time. Be sure to exercise due diligence in your study of the company's introductory package and tests. Equipment, training and artistic skill will be factors in the degree of your success.

Recognizes that Starscapes involves material costs, travel to the job sites, equipment, initial investment, sales managers, advertising costs, and standard setup items such as business cards, stationery and vehicle signs, or window writing. Expanding beyond the owner / operator status requires hiring, training and employee administration costs. The company will allow you to link to their company website to facilitate promotion, but this will also reveal the price you paid.

The introductory Starscapes package includes two impact-proof demonstration portals, a presentation CD to give you an idea of how to present your prospects, brochure samples to give you an idea of how to create your own brochures to hand out, business card samples and hotel sign samples. The cost in the US is $ 39.95 plus $ 19.95 shipping for a total of $ 59.90. If you like working with the introductory package, the equipment can be purchased. This includes a plastic dome projecting light in the ceiling as a guide to the paint and a black light activator for the paint. These are offered for $ 3,997 and can also be found for $ 3,497. Financing is available without interest with $ 1,495 down and 18 payments of $ 195 for a total of $ 5,005. The average retail price of the installed system is reported to be $ 4 to $ 8 per square foot, up to $ 12 to $ 18 per square foot with options.

It may be a good idea to consider Starscapes if you enjoy working creatively at project sites, have the ability to create sales leaders and develop perspectives and effectively manage your business. A great vacation, for a gift or for yourself, starts at the Casa Sedona Inn in Sedona, Arizona

Recently I had family visit me in Sedona, Arizona. Although they usually stay with me, it was their anniversary and I would treat them with their own little getaway in Sedona.

I booked a weekend for them at the Casa Sedona Inn located at 55 Hozoni Drive in Sedona. When I booked my brother's retreat, I thought of the special B&B because I remembered seeing it on the Travel Channel's "Best of the Best" series!

I was a little worried that due to Casa Sedona's popularity, it might be too expensive for me. I had nothing to worry about, they offer seasonal deals and some pretty cool vacation packages too. I was able to take advantage of their Spring Special.

My only other concern was the food. My brother happens to be an Executive Chef in New York and he has been known to have a difficult pallet to please. Well, I'm happy to report that my brother was extremely happy with the mild Southwestern breakfast! He also loved their home-made breads that were served with afternoon dishes.

I really didn't see much of him or my sister-in-law that weekend. They spent a lot of time just relaxing in the B & B's garden and hiking around Chimney Rock. The setting is amazing so I can't really blame them.

It was so great to see how happy they both were when I drove them back to the airport in Phoenix. I couldn't have found a better anniversary gift anywhere. A beautiful respite in beautiful surroundings.

So, if you are looking for an unforgettable gift for loved ones or you want to make your own memories in one of the most beautiful places in the Southwest, try Casa Sedona. I can highly recommend it!

The late Renaissance church has a dome designed by the painter.

If you only have time to see the most famous sights of the Italian capital, you may want to visit the Trevi Fountain afterwards. The Baroque structure contains a number of statues and was completed in 1726. The fountain is designed for Pope Clement XII, believed to be built on the site where a young girl found a three-way spring. It became more prominent after appearing in the 1959 movie La Dolce Vita. Travel historic Route 66 through Arizona

Route 66 can trace its history back to the late 1920's when it was first proposed and laid out. However, it was not until 1938 that the road was paved all the way from its eastern beginning in Chicago, Illinois, to its western end in Santa Monica, California, ca. 2,450 miles later. The route can, of course, be run either east or west, though most Route 66 travelers prefer to go from east to west, just as the Joad family did in John Steinbeck & # 39; s famous literary work, The Grapes of Wrath.

Unfortunately, Route 66 began to be replaced in the 1960s by new Interstate highways, which bypassed many small towns along the way and were completely removed from the interstate highway system in 1985. But partly to many Route 66 organizations, small town chambers, enthusiasts and historians refused a lot to let it die. Over the last 25 years, there has been a new resurgence of heritage tourism that has sparked interest in preserving this great piece of Americana history and nostalgia that is Route 66.

Often referred to as "The Mother Road," "America's Main Street," or "Will Rogers Highway," the route passes through eight different states: Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. Let's look at the state of Arizona in more detail.

Arizona

Heading west, Arizona, it is the 7th of 8 states in Route 66 and has 401 miles from border to border. It boasts some of the most beautiful scenery, a few of the most unique must-see businesses, the highest elevation and the longest unbroken stretch of Route 66 of the entire journey.

Geographically, Arizona is home to Meteor Crater, Petrified Forest and Painted Desert. These locations provide some incredible photo opportunities, but also a chance to explore and hike in these natural attractions.

About 75 miles into Arizona, past both the petrified forest and the painted desert is the town of Holbrook. Home to the Wigwam Village Motel, most Route 66 travelers look forward to sleeping in a tepee, and many cite this landmark as a highlight of their trip. Further west lies Joseph City, a Mormon business established in the late 1870s. Located in Joseph City is the famous Jackrabbit Trading Post. One of the best-known signature spots on Route 66 is the famous billboard that exclaims "HERE IS IT" located at the Jackrabbit Trading Post.

Further west past the Meteor Crater and the towns "standin" on the corner "Winslow, the extinct two guns, the abandoned twin arrows and" don't forget "Winona lies the town of Flagstaff. Flagstaff is home to the famous Lowell Observatory and is also the gateway to the Grand Canyon, an hour's drive north. The canyon is worth a side trip off Route 66 to see one of the eight natural wonders of the world. If you’d rather access the spectacular Grand Canyon via the Grand Canyon Railway out of Williams just 30 miles west of Flagstaff. Between Flagstaff and Williams lies Brannigan Peak. At 7,320 feet above sea level, it is the highest peak along the entire Rt route. 66th

25 km west of Williams lies Ash Fork, the world's flagstone capital. Just past Ash Fork, you can say goodbye to I-40 as you embark on the longest unbroken stretch of Route 66 of the entire journey. Be sure to stop by the legendary Snow Cap Drive-in in Seligman and the fascinating country shop in Hackberry before arriving at Kingman. Here you will find many, still-preserved business centers serving Route 66 travelers, including a very well done museum.

Be sure to leave Kingman while you still have daylight because you won't want to miss the incredible scenery ahead as you travel through Black Mountain switchbacks & hairpins ahead. Oatman waits, as do the many wild burros that call the old mining town home. Be sure to check out the historic Oatman hotel where Clark Gable and Carole Lombard spent their honeymoon.

By leaving Oatman, you can take a quick side trip to the casinos in Laughlin Nevada and try your luck, or continue through Golden Shores, Topock and return to I-40 to cross the mighty Colorado River into California.
